RICHMOND, VA. – Integrated Global Services (IGS), an industry leader in the development and application of solutions for erosion and corrosion problems in challenging operating environments, is pleased to announce that Michael R. Place has joined the Company as Regional Sales Manager, effective March 12, 2012. Place will be responsible for leading IGS’s sales efforts in several key North American markets.

He will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and ensuring that IGS maintains its position as the industry leader in reliable surface protection for power generation, paper, petrochem and refining, and other critical markets.”

Place has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy and process industries, with a majority of his time spent in the power generation and paper markets. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales for The NanoSteel Company, where he led the organization’s Power Plant Material Solutions sales efforts. Place previously served as Product Manager for Foster Wheeler’s Thermal Spray Coating Division. Early in his career, Michael obtained his Journeyman’s Certification as a Boilermaker. This wealth of experience brings to IGS not only a strong technical background in erosion and corrosion solutions, but also a practical understanding of boiler maintenance and reliability.
