With over two decades of experience in surface protection and coatings for power generation equipment, Dave Simcox is a leading expert in PC and CFB boiler corrosion and erosion mitigation. As Business Development Manager at IGS, he helps US power plants prevent fireside corrosion, improve heat transfer, and extend the life of critical assets through advanced High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS) coatings.

Dave has dedicated his career to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of coal-fired boilers, specializing in fireside corrosion, soot blower erosion, and boiler tube wastage prevention. 

At Integrated Global Services (IGS), he manages sales and service for the US power industry. He is an expert in the application of High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS) claddings. This boiler protection solution offers up to 50% cost savings and delivers a turnaround three times faster than traditional weld overlays. 

Prior to joining IGS, Dave held senior technical and commercial roles across leading coatings and reliability firms, including: 

  • Product Manager – Thermal Solutions, IGS (2015–2018) 
  • Sales Manager, Liquidmetal Coatings (2012–2014) 
  • Regional Manager, Whertec Inc. (2009–2012) 
  • VP Sales & Service, Oxistop LLC (2004–2009), where he executed nearly 300 coating projects, including several international installations 
  • Project Coordinator, George P. Reintjes Company (2001–2006) 

He holds an Engineering degree from Youngstown State University and is a NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector (ID 77328), reflecting his technical authority in corrosion control and surface engineering.
