IGS Announces Dust Control as New Distributor for South American Region
We are pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with Dust Control as our exclusive representative for the Mining and Minerals processing sector, which will increase the availability of IGS services across South America.
With employees stationed in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil, Dust Control will assist us in its delivery of industry-leading solutions in mineral processing facilities across the South American market. This partnership will be solidified by the our joint participation in this year’s Expomin, which is scheduled to take place in Santiago, Chile, between April 24th and 27th. The largest international mining fair in Latin America, Expomin invites 50,000 visitors from across the globe to share their knowledge and experience on the latest innovations in the mining industry.
Francisco Escobar, International Business Engineer at Dust Control, commented:
“Dust Control has spent the last 20 years developing clean and environmental products for reducing airborne dust in mining processes. We have every confidence that our new alignment with IGS, which has more than 35 years of experience in providing world-class surface protection solutions, will continue to benefit processing firms across South America.
“In particular, mining companies applying chloride leaching will find a great solution to protect assets and extend their useful life, as a result of this alliance.”
Kevin Phillips, Director of Business Development in the South East at IGS, added:
“Dust Control’s extensive portfolio and record of successful project implementation are a strong indicator of the success both our companies will achieve once our services are aligned.
“We are excited to work alongside the Dust Control team to continue providing innovative solutions to the mining industry, in particular our core technology – IGS High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS) metal alloy cladding systems which can be utilized in various process equipment (both medium and high-temperature environments). The IGS HVTS cladding technology utilizes modified super alloys to mitigate the effects of both low to very-high-temperature conditions affecting the internal side of many different industry pressure vessels or furnace tubes. This partnership will further increase awareness of IGS solutions for the South American mining industry.”
