Rohit Kardile
Business Development Manager – Middle East, Integrated Global Services
Expertise: Corrosion mitigation for oil & gas and refinery assets, pipeline corrosion protection, HVTS® cladding, and asset reliability in the Middle East
Rohit Kardile is a Business Development Manager at Integrated Global Services (IGS), focusing on the Middle East oil, gas, and refining markets. Based in the region since joining IGS in 2022, Rohit specializes in efficiency and reliability projects for upstream and downstream operators, with broad experience in corrosion mitigation solutions spanning process vessels, pipelines, and refinery equipment. He brings a background in both mechanical engineering and technical sales, making him well-suited to translating complex surface protection challenges into practical, commercially sound solutions for operators across the Middle East.
Rohit’s work at IGS centers on Qatar Key Account Management and business development across the wider Middle East region, working with major O&G operators to identify where IGS technologies, including High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS®) cladding and energy efficiency solutions, can extend asset life, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve plant reliability.
Credentials
Rohit has been active in communicating the value of advanced corrosion mitigation technologies to the industry. He was a featured speaker at an IGS webinar on robotic pipeline corrosion protection, discussing how the patent-pending Metalspray® Pipe ID Rover addresses corrosion challenges in finger slug catchers, wet gas pipelines, and flare lines. He also co-authored a technical presentation at the Middle East Corrosion Conference (MECC 2025) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, titled “Asset Life Extension and Efficiency Enhancement in Refineries Using Advanced Thermal Spray and Ceramic Coating Technologies,” which addressed corrosion mechanisms in Crude Distillation Units (CDUs) — including naphthenic acid attack, sulfidation, and hydrochloric acid overhead corrosion — and how advanced alloy cladding systems provide durable metallurgical protection without post-thermal processing.
- HVTS® (High Velocity Thermal Spray) Cladding — on-site metallic cladding for process vessels, heat exchangers, and pipelines to arrest corrosion and extend equipment life
- Metalspray® Pipe ID Rover — robotic internal pipeline cladding system for corrosion protection of finger slug catchers, wet gas lines, and flare lines
- Advanced Thermal Spray and Ceramic Coating Technologies — applied to CDU and refinery equipment for resistance to naphthenic acid, sulfidation, and acid corrosion
- Asset Integrity Consulting — technical assessment and solution recommendation for high-opportunity-cost equipment in Middle East oil, gas, and refining facilities
Areas of Expertise:
Before joining IGS, Rohit held sales and business development roles at Sulzer Chemtech Middle East, where he served as Sales Manager for Qatar and Oman, managing upstream and downstream separation system accounts across the region. Prior to that, he held managerial roles at Sulzer India Ltd focused on business development for separation and mass transfer equipment, building a foundation in technical and commercial negotiations for complex industrial applications. Earlier in his career, Rohit worked in gas storage solutions at Gas Projects India Pvt. Ltd. and in engineering at Walchandnagar Industries Ltd. His work included:
- Corrosion Mitigation for Middle East Oil, Gas & Refinery Assets
- Pipeline Internal Corrosion Protection (Finger Slug Catchers, Wet Gas, Flare Lines)
- High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS®) Cladding
- Refinery Asset Life Extension – CDU and Process Equipment
- Business Development and Key Account Management – Middle East
- Technical and Commercial Sales for Industrial Separation and Surface Protection
Education & Professional Development:
Rohit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University and an MBA in Marketing from Sinhgad Institute of Management, a combination that underpins his ability to engage with both the technical and commercial dimensions of asset integrity projects.
Webinars:
IGS Webinar – Robotic Solution for Pipeline Corrosion (Rohit Kardile, Speaker)
The webinar explores pipeline corrosion challenges in finger slug catchers, wet gas pipelines, and flare lines, and how the IGS Metalspray® Pipe ID Rover provides field-applied corrosion protection for pipeline sections and weld seams.
MECC 2025 – Asset Life Extension and Efficiency Enhancement in Refineries (Rohit Kardile, Co-Author)
